There’s
always someone, when the family is
watching television, for which the
volume is never loud enough.Or, when at the movies, has a
difficult time following the dialog.The Direct Ear Set 100 Personal
Infrared Listening System is created
for just such a person.
The
SET100 features the TI100
transmitter, RI100 stethophone
receiver and a rechargeable battery.The transmitter provides a
radiating power of 435 sq. ft. and
connects directly into the audio
output of a TV, VCR or compatible
audio source via an RCA plug with
1/8” mono mini plug adapter.Automatic gain control ensures
optimal transmission.
The
RI100 is an extremely lightweight (1.6
oz) receiver with a large diameter
volume control, individual left/right
balance controls and tone adjustment.
A
rechargeable battery powers the
receiver for six to eight hours per
charge. The receiver and a spare
battery can be simultaneously charged
and stored in the transmitter.
The
Direct Ear TM
SET100-J includes a stethophone
receiver with a 2.5mm mono output jack
for attaching additional assistive
listening accessories such as
induction neck loops, silhouettes and
direct audio input.
For
both the SET100 and SET100-J, an
auxiliary microphone is available for
audio pickup from the television
speaker when an audio output jack is
not present.
